IMDS 2013, Saint Petersburg
Aerobatic team “RUSS” has taken part in the festive ceremony at the International Maritime Defence Show in Saint-Petersburg. One could observe our five L-39 over LenExpo on the 4th and the 7th of July. Both pilots and viewers were lucky with the weather conditions. The summer Saint-Petersburg sun shimmered merrily on our liveries.
The sixth International Maritime Defence Show, one of the leading world’s exhibitions in the field of shipbuilding and sea weapons, has finished its work successfully. 36 vessels, cutters and crafts from the Navy, border service of Russian FSS and enterprises-members of the salon, were exposed on the berths of the seaport buildings and water area. Battleships from the Netherlands, Poland made fast to the city berths and even a foreign submarine arrived. Nearby there were Russian corvettes, frigates, rescue boats. It was a huge exhibition in the open air. The crew of foreign ships visited the Russian Museum, Peterhoff, the Hermitage, St. Isaak’s Cathedral and the ship-museum “Cruiser Aurora” during the INS-2013. The results of the realization of the Salon are an evidence of its great importance for the enterprises of the marine branch. The high status of the event and its place in the world’s exhibition of armament and techniques system are once more confirmed.
We are always very happy to take part in the events of such level and standard. The development of aviation and navy – one of the most priority courses in Russia. It is exactly the field we have always been very good at. And, of course, we hope that we will give pleasure to inhabitants of Saint-Petersburg with our performances not once!
